Framing at Francis Iles is a very personal service. We take pride in guiding you through your choices to ensure that each piece of work you bring in to us is complimented and conserved in a way that suits your taste, its environment and your budget.
We are members of the Fine Art Trade Guild and our qualified Guild Commended Framer Chris prides himself on his standards of work and craftsmanship.
The materials we use are high quality, including acid-free conservation mount board, and we offer a number of options for glazed work, including three types of clear glass with different UV Filters, as well as the usual plain glass and less used non-reflecting. There are around 150 mouldings to choose from stock, and an ordering service for metal frames and traditional swept Frinton Frames. Bespoke hand colouring is another option to personalize your framing, and Chris tackles all manner of 3-D objects, from football shirts to fuselage from aeroplanes.
Our framing service is on the first floor of the Gallery where either Lucy, Nettie or Alayne will be happy to assist you. Unfortunately, given how many variables are involved in each job, we are unable to give quotations over the phone, but our advice and quotation in the Gallery is given freely.
