If you are searching for something to go in a particular location, we are very happy for you to try any piece of work at home – just drop us an email with the picture details or ask when you are in the Gallery.
This also works well if you are trying to choose between a number of pictures – let us know and we’ll bring them out to you (at the moment this applies to Kent/Sussex but Lucy now has a camper van so trips further afield considered!)
Don’t forget – Own Art is offered on everything £100 and over in the Gallery, and you can now apply direct from our website for this 10 Month Interest Free payment plan which is run by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading name of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC on behalf of Arts Council England.
"We've always loved finding pieces of art in places we've travelled to, and it's really important to us to have a connection with things we've chosen for our home . With 2020 putting a stop to travel, galleries and shops - we were left with a big blank space in our newly renovated kitchen!
Having spent almost a year 'staying at home' in Rochester, we felt that choosing something from a local business would be a lovely idea, and something we would always remember. We reached out to Lucy at Francis Iles, and we had the most fantastic experience with their 'Try it, Love it, Buy it' service. We couldn't be more thrilled with the result, our chosen piece looks amazing in the space - and a huge thanks to the team at Francis Iles for being so efficient and professional!
All we had to do was send our budget guide, and a photo of the space to Lucy. This was made very easy through email and Whatsapp. We very quickly received some excellent quality photographs of some options, so the gallery team could better understand our style. Once we'd completed that step, Lucy put together a curated collection of pieces for us to try at home which she very kindly delivered to our door in a Covid secure way. The collection included some of the options we'd loved the photographs of, as well as some mystery options! Being able to try the different pieces in the space and light was absolutely brilliant. When you're investing in art it's always tricky to know exactly how it'll look until you have put it up, but this took all of the uncertainty out of the process. We had a lot of fun trying the different options, and one of Lucy's mystery pieces was absolutely perfect - a much better fit than something we might have originally chosen. It just goes to show that having an expert eye can make all the difference. The whole process was seamless from start to finish, and we'd highly recommend it. We felt really connected to the gallery team, as well as our chosen picture and we will always remember the history behind choosing it. Happy, happy customers!"
