Born in Berlin, she began her studies there and then came to St Martins College of Art There she studied Graphic Design and Fashion. After a spell as a 3D designer, she formed her own company designing and producing toy products which were marketed by Habitat, Hamleys and other leading multiples. Several products were selected by the Design Centre.
Emmy then set up another company with her husband Barry, designing and illustrating children’s educational paper productsand greetings cards. Over 15 product ranges were selected for the Design Centre and the company exhibited its ranges in New York, Frankfurt and the NEC Birmingham.
After the sale of the company to a major publisher, Emmy is now free to direct her artistic talents to producing work for her own satisfaction. Her love for colour is evident in her bright paintings in watercolour and oil.
Her work is as in demand as ever, with numerous paintings being reproduced as cards by The Medici Society.
