Alison Griffin has been painting professionally for over 25 years. She is well known for her miniature paintings of interiors, gardens and country scenes, and works almost entirely in acrylic on board. She originally studied Graphic Design at Bath Academy of Art from 1971 – 74 but her love of working in great detail lead her to start painting Miniatures several years later. Her use of strong light and shade gives a dramatic effect to her work. Alison regularly exhibits at the Francis Iles Gallery in Rochester, Kent. The Society of Women Artists, London, and with the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers at the Mall Galleries, London.
