Alan lives and works in Kent where he graduated from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in 1993. Since graduation he has concentrated on bird and wildlife art which he has been interested in from an early age. Alan is a member of The Wildlife Art Society and has exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists. Alan has won the prestigious, ‘Bird Artist of the Year’ award for the year 2000, which is awarded by Birdwatch Magazine, for his pencil drawing of a heron. One has only to examine the quality of his work to realise why the award was made. His work is regularly selected to be shown in Wisconsin USA, at the ‘Birds in Art’ exhibition and at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA) in the USA.
