On completion of her education, Patricia worked as Assistant Editor in a book publishing company where her work with photographic material of birds and African wildlife drew her into sculpture. Although having no art college training she always enjoyed being creative and following a week end course in the wax method of casting into bronze, produced her first bronze entitled ‘Avocet’. Following the success of the piece, she embarked upon a career in sculpture, carrying out commissions for Royal Doulton from which she learnt about figurines in porcelain. Commissions from other reputable companies followed.
Since that time, Patricia concentrates purely on her work in bronze for display in galleries around the country, undertaking commissions as requested, many editions of her work being fully sold.
Her pieces are now shown worldwide and she regularly exhibits in the Wildlife Artists’ Exhibition in the Mall Galleries and has recently been acknowledged by the Hilliard Society of miniaturists for her consistently high standard of work.
