Gerd Lovold started life in the north of Norway in 1941. Prior to settling in the UK in 1972, Gerd lived, studied and worked in the USA and Australia. Her expression of life and movement through ceramics commenced in 1986 and since then has developed into an inspiring and contemplative range of works in ceramics, cold-cast resin bronze and bronze. The figures she depicts invariably show a bond or relationship between the figures, which are evocative and compelling.
Ongoing themed exhibitions have attracted the attention of organisations such as Bonhams, and The Contemporary Art Gallery. Her sculptures are found in private collections in Sweden, Norway, Australia, the USA and throughout the UK.
