MICHAEL CHAPLIN RWS
Kent artist Michael Chaplin  is a Member of the Royal Watercolour Society, past Vice- President of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and President of the Royal Tunbridge Wells Art Society.  He is also known to millions as art expert on the successful television series “Watercolour Challenge” and has taken part in almost sixty programmes. 

Michael worked with the family of J M W Turner, The Royal Academy and Winsor & Newton to establish The Winsor & Newton Turner Award for Watercolour as part of the R.A. Summer Exhibition (now established as a feature of the Summer Exhibition) which has Michael as one of the judges.  2003 saw Michael filming for BBC2 Open University Art History Unit, following in the steps of J M W Turner and re-creating some of his paintings of the Lake District.

We have just received 5 new works by Michael, shown here,  that will be going to the Watercolour Fair in London on Wednesday 3 February. Any that are not sold will come back to the gallery on Monday 8 February.

 You can order any of these picture by personal call at the gallery or by phone. Phone orders will be delivered with a frame but without glass for insurance reasons and free of delivery charge in the UK or within the EEC.
