STEVEN BEWSHER

Steven was born, and still lives in Cheshire, where he graduated from Manchester and Wolverhampton with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.  Working mainly in soft pastel and oil paint his subjects are usually landscapes, often quite remote and devoid of buildings and people.  If figures are included it is to give a scale to the size of the landscape.

Well known in the North, Steven has made a name for himself portraying the fleeting and dramatic light effects that constantly evolve over the landscape.  We are delighted to be the first gallery in the South to show his work. His work has been featured in “The Artist”, “Artist & Illustrator” and “International Artist” magazines, and he has also contributed to the book “Pastel Masterstrokes” by Hazel Harrison.
